Announcing the MRC Academy
EVMS training has historically been treated as a one-off or broadly applied experience: a workshop, slide deck, or activity everyone does at onboarding. Those formats can be useful, but they often leave a gap between understanding theoretical applications and applying the discipline under real project conditions.
That gap matters.
In complex federal project environments, EVM is not just a reporting framework. It shapes how scope is planned, how budgets are authorized, how performance is measured, how variances are explained, and how teams maintain a credible baseline over time. Each role, from CAMs to PMs to PMO leaders, interact with the system and processes differently.
A one-size-fits-all training model rarely reflects that complexity. We need a different model.
Our team has taken their decades of experience on the ground to build the MRC Academy, an EVMS training solution that’s more practical, role-specific, and scalable.
The Academy is designed to help organizations build shared understanding across project teams without relying solely on repeated live workshops or one-time training events. The goal is not to replace a site’s EVMS System Description or internal procedures. Instead, our training approach reinforces the behaviors, concepts, and decision points that help practitioners operate more effectively.
Instead of asking, “Did people attend training?” the better question becomes, “Are our CAMs, PMs, and project controls teams better prepared to apply EVMS discipline in the work they actually perform?”
